Headline News: Who is HIT Commons?

Most of the readers of this newsletter have met at least one of the HIT Commons team: Justin, Liz, Courtney, Jill, Ashley, Janet, and Mark. That said, the team is truly much larger than that. HIT Commons is led by its 17-member Board which includes representatives from: 4 hospitals, 2 health plans, 2 CCOs, 3 physicians, behavioral health, dental, public health, the Hospital Association of Oregon, the Oregon Health Authority, and a community-at-large representative. This is unusually large and diverse for a board, but this is by design. The work of HIT Commons and its parent organization, the Oregon Health Leadership Council, is focused on the challenges that require the collaboration across many stakeholders in Oregon’s healthcare ecosystem.
